Alumni Special Events

MMA alumni  — Please join us for these annual special events!

MMA’s homecomings are alive with brotherhood and camaraderie. Each year features live music on campus, great food, socials, and an event schedule that gives alumni and guests an experience of fond memories and appreciation of the strength of the Academy.

Feature events include the "FOREver MMA" - the annual Alumni Association Golf at Arthur Hills Golf Course; a Sunset Silver Taps ceremony honors MMA alumni, family, and friends who have recently passed away; alumni BBQ; annual Alumni Association meeting; and more. Learn more about Homecoming.

In 1889, the community of Mexico, Missouri, had a vision.

They wanted a local academy to offer classical education for boys, set a standard of academic excellence, and provide learning with emphasis on discipline.

Through their combined efforts and vision for the Academy's potential, Missouri Military Academy came to be — founded on November 22, 1889.

Each year, Founders' Day is an opportunity to honor this enduring legacy and the visionaries who made it possible. We invite all alumni to join us in celebrating our shared history and ensuring its continuation for future generations.

Though Founders' Day is celebrated virtually for alumni, your participation makes a lasting impact. By giving to support our mission, you help provide current and future cadets with the transformative education and character-building experiences that define MMA. Together, we can honor the past while ensuring the Academy's success for generations to come.

MMA cadets, faculty and staff will hold a small celebration on campus on Nov. 22.

A MMA tradition since 1941, Evensong celebrates the holidays through the voices of MMA cadets and faculty.

Described as a "Festival of Lessons and Carols," Evensong features live readings and musical performances by Missouri Military Academy choir members and musicians, plus the MMA Faculty Chorus. The event is free, open to the public, and annually held at Mexico United Methodist Church at 122 E. Promenade St., Mexico, Missouri.

Following the Evensong celebration, cadets and their families enjoy holiday parties in each company’s recreation room on campus.

MMA’s premiere event and biggest fundraiser of the year, the Maroon & Gold Gala supports academic, athletic and scholarship programs at MMA. The mission? To improve the cadet experience and expand their opportunities, so they may reach their fullest potential.

Held during Spring Family Weekend, the event showcases cadet success and the positive impact of our supporters. Advanced reservations are required to attend.

During commencement weekend, the MMA family celebrates the graduating class and welcomes our newest alumni! Senior cadets receive their diplomas at the graduation ceremony in the Centennial Gymtorium before gathering for Final Formation on MMA's front campus.
