Noteworthy Alumni in the Field of Business – René Malès ’50

The retired president of Iowa Southern Utilities, an energy company headquartered in Centerville, Iowa, and later of IES Utilities, René Malès ’50 credits Missouri Military Academy with providing both strong academics and lessons in discipline that helped lead him to success.

During Homecoming 2019 on Saturday, September 14, Missouri Military Academy honored former Academy President Col. Charles R. Stribling ’44 at the Col. Stribling Statue Dedication Ceremony.

Legacy Cadets Recognized at Alumni Awards and Donor Recognition Banquet

Legacy cadets are cadets who are sons, step-sons, brothers, grandsons, step-grandsons, or nephews of an MMA alum who completed at least one full year as an MMA cadet. At the ceremony, these cadets and their alumni family were recognized and awarded a legacy pin, symbolizing the family’s continued history at MMA.

Noteworthy Alumni in the Field of Law – William Berry ’30

William Berry from MMA’s Class of 1930 was a dedicated patriot who served as county attorney, solider, Oklahoma County judge and Supreme Court judge. He was also an active member of several veteran organizations, a humanitarian who served in leadership roles of major organizations such as the Red Cross, Salvation Army and Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, and was an initial organizer of the Big Brothers of Oklahoma.

Col. Stribling To Be Honored During Statue Dedication Ceremony

During Homecoming 2019 on Saturday, September 14 at 1 p.m., the MMA community will honor former Academy President Col. Charles R. Stribling ’44, who spent more than 75 years in dedicated service to MMA and its mission, at the Col. Stribling Statue Dedication Ceremony.

The whole core of what MMA stands for is still there, even after the ups and downs of 130 years. I believe in what they are doing.

“Every Year, Every Cadet Stronger” — MMA 2019-20 Annual Campaign To Kick Off on Giving Tuesday

On December 3, MMA will kick off the 2019-20 Annual Campaign — “Every Year, Every Cadet Stronger” —  on Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving where millions pay it forward to support the causes that matter to them.
