Athletic Hall of Fame

Recognition for individuals or teams who won a state championship team, placed in a state championship tournament event multiple times, qualified for an individual or team state tournament or considered “All-State” by either a vote of Missouri Sportswriters or qualifying for the state tournament multiple times, and/or who were selected as “All-Conference, District, Sectional, or a Regional” in multiple years prior to graduating from MMA. MMA Athletic coaches with similar success will also be considered for the MMA Athletic Hall of Fame. Contact the MMA Athletic Director for additional qualifying information.

General Eligibility Criteria for Athletic Hall of Fame

  • State championship won by an individual or team or coaching a team with similar result. Selected as “State Coach of the Year” in any given sport. 
  • Placing in a state championship tournament event multiple times in which an individual earned a medal or coaching said team/individuals. 
  • Qualifying for an individual or team state tournament or being considered “All-State” by either a vote of Missouri Sportswriters or qualifying for the state tournament multiple times. 
  • Being selected as “All-Conference, District, Sectional, or a Regional” in multiple years. 
  • Coaches with several years of experience in consecutive years. 
  • Coaches with a .750 winning percentage or higher throughout their MMA coaching career.

MMA Hall of Fame: Randall Carver ’64

Randall Carver attended Missouri Military Academy for three years, from 1961 to 1964. He graduated in 1964 as a cadet officer, second lieutenant. During his MMA years, Randall served as vice president of the senior class and was active in the Fusileers, rifle team, band, chorus, Glee Club and Dramateers, and lettered in football and track. A familiar face to television and movie audiences, Randall’s acting career has spanned more than 50 years. For his accomplishments, he is inducted into the 2022 MMA Hall of Fame for Arts and Sciences.
