Missouri Military Academy Corps of Cadets become an extension of a cadet’s family and creates opportunities for friendships that last a lifetime.
Cadets share common goals and are encouraged to assist one another in their efforts to succeed. Living in the barracks gives them 24-hour access to a peer support group and cadet mentors. With time, cadets create a brotherhood that will last a lifetime and bridge the gap of geography long after they have graduated from MMA.
One of the Corp's strengths is in its diversity. At the Academy, cadets will be introduced to a broad spectrum of cultural experiences, and encouraged to appreciate what each student brings to the school.
MMA prides itself on creating a truly multicultural learning environment in which young men of different nationalities can come to appreciate their differences and similarities. Members of the Corps of Cadets come from across the United States and around the world. Over the long life of MMA, cadets have attended from all 50 states and from 30 foreign countries. Cadets' preparation for college and beyond will be well-served as they learn to overcome fears of difference and celebrate the gifts of diversity.
Religious, cultural, and ethnic diversity is part of the daily life of the cadets at MMA. The student body, comprised of an average of fifteen different countries, represents many of the major world cultures.
International students who are new to the English language will benefit from our ESL (English as a Second Language) program. These classes help students to develop language comprehension skills and adapt quickly to their cultural surroundings. At MMA, international cadets are housed with US students to accelerate language learning and promote cultural interactions between different groups.
