Summer Leadership Camp
July 8 to 21, 2018
Young men ages 12-17 find new challenges at our two-week Leadership Camp. This program teaches boys to follow as well as lead, as it helps them to understand the benefits and responsibilities of being a leader. The activities provide more challenge and opportunity for development of advanced team building, decision making, and motivational skills - along with self-reflection and evaluation. Physical training helps participants unlock their potential, and team-building courses help them to learn to work better alongside their peers. This camp is accredited by the American Camp Association and adheres to their high standards.
The camp has an active schedule that includes:
- Daily physical training
- Rappelling and rock climbing wall
- Rifle marksmanship
- Pugil sticks
- Knot tying
- Leadership Reaction Course
- First aid training with certification
- High ropes
- Climbing Wall
- Map reading
The camp is held on Missouri Military Academy's 288-acre campus in the heart of the Midwest in Mexico, Missouri. Our campers are hosted in a safe, supportive environment that is well-supervised by adult counselors.
Campers will benefit from the guidance of the caring MMA mentors and educators who serve as camp counselors. Camp Director and MMA Commandant, LTC Greg Seibert, has nearly 20 years' experience working with cadets at MMA. LTC Seibert and his staff are experienced teachers and military leaders who impart the values of leadership, good character, self-discipline and teamwork in every student at MMA.
Tuition includes lodging, meals, all activities and uniforms. Tuition is subject to change.
The non-refundable application fee for all applicants is $100.00. The fee is applied to total tuition.
The program takes place on the campus of Missouri Military Academy, a 125-year old boarding school located in central Missouri. Our campus boasts a new state of the art academic building, air conditioned dorms, a gym, indoor swimming pool, stables, paintball course, and an outdoor challenge obstacle course.
