DOYRMS Fellows Alexander Schaaf, third from left, and Matthew Ghidey, right, joined other American exchange students in honoring service men and women who have lost their lives during conflicts.
Two MMA cadets studying abroad in the UK via the Duke of York's Royal Military School (DOYRMS) exchange program participated in Remembrance Day ceremonies in honor of fallen service men and women.
Cadets Schaaf and Ghidey took part in the lighting ceremony of the British Torch of Remembrance. This event takes place every year at the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior in Westminster Abbey, London, and pays tribute to service men and women who have lost their lives during conflict.
The cadets were also given time to pay their respects at the Congressional Medal of Honor, which was originally laid on the grave of the Unknown Warrior by General Pershing in 1921.
