The High School academic program (9th through 12th grade) consists of a challenging curriculum that meets the needs of students at different levels of their academic experience.  Cadets who need extra support and structure can attend daily tutorial sessions in the mornings and individualized instruction from a Learning Specialist.  Cadets also receive help from teachers during evening study halls.  For students who are academically motivated, there are Advanced Placement and Dual-Credit courses where students can earn college credit while in high school.  There is also a Post-Graduate program for recent high school graduates who need another year of academic support before embarking on college.

The Academy’s teaching staff is comprised of a professional, experienced body of individuals dedicated to the intellectual and moral development of each cadet.  Indeed, our instructors, through their words and actions, promote academic achievement and character education on a daily basis.  Innovation, technology integration, and enthusiasm are hallmarks of the teaching that occurs at MMA.  Seventy-four percent of our instructors hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree.

Each student will receive a course of study suitable to his specific needs.  By offering cadets an appropriate schedule, coupled with counseling from an active College-Placement office, MMA can boast a 100% college acceptance rate.

Our English-as-a-Second Language Program (ESL) strives to improve cadets’ English language skills and helps make the transition into a new school environment easier.  The ethnically diverse student body enriches the educational and social experience of all cadets.

Along with the required college-preparatory and JROTC courses, there are numerous classes in the Fine Arts, Business, Humanities and Computer Technology that cadets can choose from.
