Missouri Military Academy accepts young men in grades 6-12 from around the world based upon their good character and their ability to achieve in the Academy academic program.
The High School program is dual-tracked, accepting average-ability and above students who want to be part of a program that has proven to be the foundation of success for thousands of alumni.
The Classical Academic Program, which includes AP and Honors courses, is designed to prepare students for the larger colleges and universities. The General Academic Program, a more traditional curriculum, prepares students for small colleges that have support programs.
The Middle School academic program includes courses from grades six through eight. The sixth grade program focuses on basic skill development while providing students a transition from the self-contained classroom experiences students have likely encountered in elementary school. The seventh and eighth grade courses are divided into ability-based groups that reinforce the middle school curricular objectives.
The program creates a culture of reading that cultivates the minds of the young student to enjoy reading and improve their reading comprehension.
MMA also offers a day program for local middle and high school students who seek academic challenge beyond what is available in the public school. The program is offered to a limited number of students who qualify with a GPA of 3.0 and above. Students must provide their own transportation to and from school, maintain an excellent disciplinary record and may choose to participate in
JROTC and intramural or varsity athletics.
MMA also sponsors a comprehensive, co-ed summer school and activities program titled
The New ERA - Enrichment and Recovery Academy . The month-long program is held on the MMA campus and offers opportunities to repair poor past performances and to expand scope of knowledge by taking advanced courses for enrichment. Activities, athletics and field trips are available as part of the curriculum. The New ERA is a structured, non-military program and offers boarding and day programs for students in grades 7-12.
